This role presents an exciting chance to join a fast-paced, globally connected team that supports major events and strategic priorities in the telecommunications industry. You will have the opportunity to work on GSMA’s flagship global events and GSMA Services, gaining direct insights into executive leadership activities within the CEO/COO Office. The position provides valuable international experience, cross-functional leadership exposure, and practical involvement with globally recognised events and high-profile organisational initiatives. Success in this role requires strong organisational skills, teamwork, and communication abilities, as well as a desire to expand your experience in project management, executive operations, and global events within a dynamic, highly visible setting. The CEO/COO Office team facilitates executive coordination, operational priorities, international programs, and high-level engagement activities throughout GSMA. This team collaborates closely with senior leadership, internal departments, external stakeholders, and international partners to advance operational excellence, promote executive alignment, and ensure the effective delivery of key organizational objectives. As part of this dynamic and high-profile function, you will work directly with the Executive Business Manager to support executive operations, CEO/COO internal meetings, Climate & Sustainability reporting, and major event initiatives within the GSMA ecosystem. The Assistant Business Manager provides operational, administrative, and project support across executive priorities and workstreams. Reporting to the Executive Business Manager, the role includes calendar, travel, expense, meeting, stakeholder, and project coordination, as well as support for confidential and high-priority activity within the CEO/COO Office. In addition, a key part of the role is supporting the planning and delivery of CEO/COO internal meetings. This includes agendas, executive communications, timelines, presentations, attendee coordination, logistics, travel, AV, briefing materials, and follow-up, helping ensure meetings run smoothly and professionally. The role also supports delivery of GSMA’s flagship events, including MWC Barcelona, MWC Shanghai, M360, Nova, and selected GSMA Services initiatives. Responsibilities include timelines, stakeholder and vendor coordination, logistics, reporting, presentations, and support for other events or services as needed. This involves data gathering, timelines, documentation, and compliance activity aligned to GSMA’s sustainability goals. For CDP reporting, the Assistant Business Manager will work with GSMA’s external sustainability partner, to support data collection, coordination, timelines, documentation, and related reporting deliverables. The Assistant Project Manager will support process improvements, contribute to strategic projects, and manage smaller workstreams, with increasing ownership over time.
