About The Position

WSP is seeking an Assistant Bridge Engineer to join its Infrastructure team. The role involves supporting national and international bridge and infrastructure projects for Scandinavian markets, working day to day with WSP teams in Sweden and Finland. The successful candidate will assist designers with project documentation, structural modelling, and technical solutions for complex infrastructure investments. Depending on project needs and the candidate’s interests, there will be opportunities to develop in modelling, design, or structural calculations.

The team delivers bridge and transport projects for clients in Poland and abroad, including new bridges, upgrades to existing infrastructure, and solutions that support investment cost optimization. The role offers remote or hybrid work from WSP’s Warsaw or Kraków office. The team uses modern design tools and BIM, including SOFiSTiK, Robot Structural Analysis, BRIGADE, Mathcad, Tekla, and Revit.

Requirements

• Higher technical education in civil engineering; a bridge engineering specialization is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience designing bridge and infrastructure structures.
• Interest in designing bridge and infrastructure structures.
• English proficiency sufficient to work in an international environment.
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to develop professionally.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other design tools.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Tekla Structures and/or SOFiSTiK.
• Experience modelling structures in a BIM environment.
• Interest in structural calculations.
• Knowledge of Revit.

Responsibilities

• Support the project team in delivering bridge and infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of design documentation and drawings.
• Model bridge structures in a BIM environment.
• Support structural calculations and technical analyses.
• Collaborate with project teams in Sweden or Finland.
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of assigned project tasks.
