About The Position

Kayem Foods is seeking an Assistant Brand Manager to help lead the next phase of growth for the Kayem brand. Kayem Foods is a family-owned food company with over 100 years of experience, and is the largest meat processor in New England. The Kayem brand is the #1 franks brand in New England and the official hot dog of several major New England sports teams. The brand portfolio includes franks, bacon, sausage, slow-cooked meats, and deli products. This role is for an individual who is passionate, curious, and ready to make an impact on a high-profile, market-leading regional brand. The Assistant Brand Manager will play a hands-on role in driving the day-to-day performance of the Kayem brand, supporting annual planning, innovation initiatives, and go-to-market execution across a broad portfolio. This role involves close collaboration with sales, insights, R&D, finance, and agency partners, offering strong visibility with senior leadership and contributing to key strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years minimum of relevant experience.
  • CPG industry experience is preferred.
  • BA/BS required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical skills, presentations skills, and creativity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively.
  • Ability to take initiative and apply an appropriate sense of urgency to delivery results.
  • High energy and team spirit with a can-do attitude.
  • Skilled use of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with IRI/Nielsen data a plus.

  • Marketing focus and/or MBA preferred.
  • Passion for uncovering consumer needs and insights to drive growth and brand mission.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform decision making.
  • Use syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI) and other inputs to assess performance, identify gaps, and recommend course-correcting actions and opportunities to drive growth.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, Insights, and agency partners) to deliver product innovation, product renovation, and high impact promotional events.
  • Help manage integrated marketing initiatives, including advertising, promotions, and retail programs.
  • Support the development and execution of annual brand plans and long-term growth strategies.
