The Assistant Branch Manager supports the branch by ensuring all operational functions are accurately and efficiently performed by branch staff. This role is responsible for overseeing the teller function, ATM balancing, night depository processing, and customer service duties. Additionally, the Assistant Branch Manager handles account opening administration and assists the teller line and other staff. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely opening and closing of the branch and vaults, enforcing dual control procedures, facilitating weekly cash supply, balancing various cash points (vaults, ATM, cash boxes, cash recyclers), and auditing teller drawers to correct discrepancies. The position also involves maintaining monthly branch statistics, training new tellers, overseeing teller duties, assisting with customer transactions during peak periods, performing compliance audits, conducting wire transfers, and staying educated on all deposit, business, and consumer loan products. The Assistant Branch Manager accurately processes deposit accounts, consumer loan applications, and IRA transactions, troubleshoots ATM/debit card concerns, manages teller and vault cash levels, conducts safe deposit box audits, ensures excellent customer service, addresses branch security and safety issues, facilitates operational meetings, maintains cash recyclers, troubleshoots Teller Capture, performs teller transactions, and resolves online banking inquiries, ATM/Debit Card issues, stop payments, and holds. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, identifying and promoting product referral opportunities, and fostering a positive, customer-centric team atmosphere.
