About The Position

Join our team as an Assistant Branch Manager and gain the opportunity to learn, grow, and improve your professional skills in the Equipment Rental Industry. Since 1962 All Star Rents has been a leading provider of quality rental equipment in Northern California and Nevada. This position offers front row career advancement prospects with a high level of responsibility within our growing organization. This is a Full-time hourly position that will require Saturday shifts. All Shifts end before 5:30pm.

Requirements

18 years or older
Valid US driver’s license with satisfactory record
Valid proof of eligibility to work in the USA
Be able to lift 50lbs unaided
Obtain Class A permit within 1 year of employment
High school diploma or equal equivalent
Willingness to relocate throughout organization
Minimum 1 year leadership experience
Minimum 1 year customer service experience
Minimum 2 years equipment operating/mechanical experience
Effective communication both written and verbal
Computer Literacy- Typing and understanding computer tech and basic software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe PDF, Apple and Android, etc.)
A serious attitude towards safety in the workplace
Satisfactory Background check
Pass 4panel drug screening

Responsibilities

Assist in training, directing and ensure the safety and compliance of branch employees
Display non-discriminatory behavior and communication, and promote professionalism in all transactions when representing All Star Rents, Inc.
Assist in ensuring the branch is properly positioned to conduct business daily- cash control, inventory control, security, reporting, full opening and closing procedures
Promote a safe and sanitary work environment that protects the company’s associates, customers, the community, and the environment from injury or damage
Assist in confirming safety and control of the fleet through physical inventories and periodic checks
Compliance with the company’s procedures and policies
Assist in maintaining the company’s asset fleet in a safe, clean and mechanically sound condition
Represent the company to all customers in dealings occurring during the normal course of business
Promote a substance (drug & alcohol) and harassment free work environment by not engaging in prohibited activities and reporting to Human Resources any which may occur
Maintain visually pleasing esthetic of merchandise in showroom and yard equipment to enhance the customer service experience
Assist in following up with customers regarding rentals and commission new jobs as necessary and use knowledge of equipment to increase sales and drive business
Can work well with others; think critically and analytically and successfully negotiate with customers and vendors
Assist at rental counter handling phone calls and walk-in customers
Assist with scheduling work orders and complete customer contracts
Assist in the yard providing excellent customer service and equipment- loading and unloading as well as servicing and delivering
Maintain a proven track record of success selling new and used equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Maintain professional appearance as a representative of All Star Rents
Any tasks, processes, and procedures delegated by supervisor
Introductory 90day training
