About The Position

BayCoast Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for its Downtown New Bedford Branch. The role partners closely with the Branch Manager to lead branch operations, support staff development, drive growth, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The Assistant Branch Manager helps ensure operational excellence and contributes to the community while advancing the branch’s performance goals.

Requirements

Leadership and supervisory experience.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Experience in banking, lending, or financial services.
Proven ability to meet goals and drive results.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of banking products and services.
NMLS registration, or ability to obtain and maintain it.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliable transportation for travel between locations.

Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese skills.

Oversee daily branch operations in the Manager’s absence.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Monitor cash handling, security, and audit readiness.
Partner with leadership to meet branch performance goals.
Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
