About The Position

Sherwood High School is seeking an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 season. The coach will assist the varsity coach in all aspects of the program and will be responsible for a sub-varsity team. This role requires a commitment to high ethical and professional standards, the ability to lead young student-athletes toward academic and athletic excellence, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be skilled in organization, time management, and committed to the vision of the Sherwood Athletic Program. A strong understanding of training, skill development, and coaching techniques in high school basketball is essential, as is the ability to communicate coaching philosophy to younger athletes and generate community excitement for the sport. A commitment to academic excellence for all student-athletes is paramount.

Requirements

• Previous high school coaching experience is recommended.
