About The Position

This is an extra duty position for a 1/2 Assistant Baseball Coach at North High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The primary function is to develop and implement an exemplary athletic program that provides the highest quality education and growth opportunities for every student athlete. The role involves ensuring compliance with school policies, working cooperatively with staff, relating positively to parents and community, demonstrating professional growth, completing records and reports accurately, accepting responsibilities beyond the team setting, caring for materials and facilities, and ensuring a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Instructional duties include fostering positive interactions among student-athletes, building supportive relationships, demonstrating enthusiasm, promoting self-direction, and establishing clear standards for behavior and academics. Subject matter expertise requires comprehensive knowledge of baseball, adapting instruction to student needs, and exhibiting effective planning and organization. Coaching techniques should clearly convey fundamental expectations and their significance, utilizing varied methods and monitoring student progress.

Requirements

Prior coaching experience preferred.

Utilize appropriate and varied coaching techniques and learning activities.
