About The Position

Floyd's Barbershop is seeking a full-time Assistant Barber Shop Leader in Geneva, IL, to help lead the team, inspire a positive shop culture, and maintain high standards. This role involves supporting barbers and stylists, mentoring them to grow their skills, and ensuring an excellent client experience. The Assistant Shop Leader will also manage inventory, purchase orders, and participate in recruiting. A portion of the role will be spent working behind the chair, leading by example.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience behind the chair as a barber or stylist in a fast-paced shop.
• 1+ year(s) of management experience.
• Passion for leadership and building a culture of teamwork and service.
• An active Barber or Cosmetology license in the state of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and inspire a great shop culture.
• Support barbers and stylists.
• Maintain high standards on cuts, colors, and shaves.
• Provide ongoing mentorship to stylists.
• Take an active role in recruiting.
• Manage inventory and purchase orders.
• Complete month-end tasks.
• Work behind the chair and stay connected to the client experience.
