Assistant Athletic Trainer
About The Position
The athletic program at Appalachian State University operates on the premise that intercollegiate athletics is an integral part of the institution’s overall program of education. Priority is given to high standards of both academic and athletic quality — the goal being the complete development of the student-athlete. The intercollegiate athlete representing ASU will be a bonafide student pursuing a degree program, as well as an amateur competitor.
Requirements
- BOC Certification
- Eligible for state licensure by the State of North Carolina Board of Athletic Training
- Master’s degree required
- One year of experience in athletic training
Nice To Haves
- 3 or more years of experience in Athletic Training
- Experience in collegiate volleyball
Responsibilities
- Prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
- Daily athletic training room operations
- Coverage of events and practices for sports as assigned
- Supervision of athletic training students
- Administrative duties assigned by the Chief Strategy Officer
