Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer to work under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Training. This role is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries and illnesses, as well as providing education and counseling to student-athletes. The position also involves overseeing CPR/AED and First Aid education for athletic staff, managing the daily operations of the athletic training room, and traveling with teams. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will participate in inventory management, maintain student-athlete Protected Health Information (PHI) in the SportsWare Online system, and ensure appropriate communication with various stakeholders. Responsibilities include coordinating athletic calendars, maintaining records for athletic physical examinations, completing required continuing education units (CEUs) for professional certifications, and developing/enforcing Embry Riddle Athletic Training Policy & Procedures. This position requires working more than 40 hours per week, including weekends, nights, and holidays, and necessitates a valid driver's license for team transportation. Other duties as assigned.
