About The Position

The University of Tampa's Athletic Department has a position available for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services. This position reports to the head athletic trainer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • One year of NATABOC certified experience required.
  • Florida licensed or eligible.
  • Good oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to forge a working relationship with college level athletics and coaches.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supervising and teaching student athletic trainers preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, treat and provide rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
  • Review and document injuries.
  • Provide referrals for appropriate medical care.
  • Provide athletic training services on the field or court, at practices and events.
  • Manage insurance and other documentation necessary for proper medical care.
