About The Position

The City of Huntsville’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking an Assistant Athletic Supervisor to oversee soccer activities at the Merrimack Soccer Complex. This specialized role organizes and implements regular-season soccer games, tournaments, clinics, and related activities. The position involves scheduling and coordinating fields, conducting games, clinics, and special events, and supervising, scheduling, and assisting with maintenance of soccer fields and facilities. It also includes setting up equipment and facilities for soccer and special events. The work requires tact and skill in dealing with patrons and maintaining order and discipline.

The department’s goal is to provide recreational opportunities to all citizens regardless of family structure, income, gender, or ethnic origin, supporting individual, team, and family activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or a GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Organize and implement soccer regular-season games, tournaments, clinics, and related activities.
