About The Position

The Department of Athletics at Colorado State University Pueblo (CSU Pueblo) supports the university's mission by developing and maintaining a top-quality Division II intercollegiate athletics program. This program is committed to providing a positive and fulfilling academic and athletic experience for all student-athletes. As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and NCAA Division II, CSU Pueblo Athletics plays a supporting role in higher education, enhancing community sense, strengthening identity, and playing a prominent role in enrollment management for the University. This position is .75 FTE.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution.
Willing and able to work nights and weekends.
Physical ability to fulfill duties of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and having the mobility needed to demonstrate skills and movement required in practices/contests.
Experience in the area of facility and/or event management.

Responsibilities

Direct the selling of all athletic single-game and season tickets, including communication, customer support, and hiring/staffing for ticket sales.
Manage the ticketing system (University Ticket System).
Create single-game and season ticket sales tactics, plans, and communication in coordination with Athletics staff and the Associate Athletic Director/Head Wrestling Coach.
Hire and oversee a ticket/event management team of students, work-study, and interns.
Serve as the facility manager for all athletics facilities, generating work orders, managing the ThunderTron and Massari video board and score table content in coordination with Daktronics, and managing the Musco Lighting System.
Solicit and create facility rental agreements.
Submit deposits for facility rentals.
Schedule practices and games.
Create and distribute an internal/external events calendar.
Monitor the EMS system.
Schedule all Recreation events at athletic facilities and serve as the point of contact for all facilities in use.
Solicit outside events and serve as the point of contact for all outside groups.
Coordinate camps and clinics.
Serve as the Game-day Operations Manager for home sporting events with support from specific event game administrators and sport supervisors.
Ensure that game officials are scheduled and confirmed for all events via RefQuest.
Organize volunteers for events, as needed.
Act as a liaison for visiting teams and game officials prior to an event.
Ensure all items necessary for home game management are properly planned.
Develop game-day scripts for various sports including volleyball and basketball.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships and the Associate Athletic Director/Head Wrestling Coach.
