About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine. The successful candidate is responsible for oversight in all areas of Sports Medicine including insurance and matters involving Athletic Training, Athletic Training Staff, supervision of graduate students as well as clinically instruct undergraduate athletic training students in the Athletic Training Undergraduate Program. The Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine will organize and administer the day-to-day operations of the athletic training facilities including, but not limited to, maintaining all medical records, insurance, supply inventory and upholding the departmental and university mission statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited university.
• 5 years experience with 1 year at the collegiate level.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work nights/weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversight in all areas of Sports Medicine including insurance and matters involving Athletic Training.
• Supervision of Athletic Training Staff.
• Supervision of graduate students.
• Clinically instruct undergraduate athletic training students in the Athletic Training Undergraduate Program.
• Organize and administer the day-to-day operations of the athletic training facilities.

• Manage insurance.
