The Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Operations works with the Associate Director of Athletics for Events and Operations to stage more than 200 games and events during each academic year. This position independently supervises assigned contests and events, as well as supports operations led by other members of the Event and Operations team when needed. In addition to coordinating the staging and presentation of games and events, this role is responsible for the hiring, scheduling and supervising of over 200 Temp Event Staff and Student Employees. The Assistant Athletic Director for Events and Operations serves as the primary contact person for coaches, administrators, game officials, security, and others involved with the staging of games and events, working to ensure athletic department events are safe, competitive, fair and enjoyable for all who attend or participate. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Frequent evening and weekend work is required.
