About The Position

The Ecclesial School at Saint Alban’s is seeking assistant varsity sports coaches for its St. Alban’s location. The role involves coaching and mentoring young athletes in a classical Christian school environment while supporting the school’s mission to expand access to extraordinary Christian education. Coaches are expected to foster athletes’ competitive and personal growth, coordinate practices and competitions, communicate with parents and colleagues, and program training. Employees must affirm the Christian faith as expressed in the Nicene Creed and be active members of a local church, maintain high ethical standards, and meet the educational and technical requirements of the position.

Requirements

• Relevant varsity-level coaching experience and/or a competitive history as an athlete in the sport.
• Commitment to each athlete’s growth in competitive and personal excellence.
• Proven organizational capacity to schedule practices and competitions, communicate with parents and peers, and program training.
• Education of at least an A.A. or equivalent relevant to teaching or supporting instruction.
• Experience working with elementary-, middle-, and/or high-school-aged children in an educational setting; 3–5 years is preferred.
• Experience in a highly social and relational context.
• Affirm the Christian faith as expressed in the Nicene Creed, without exception, and be an active member of a local church.
• Meet all educational and technical requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Three to five years of experience working with elementary-, middle-, and/or high-school-aged children in an educational setting.
• Experience in cross-cultural communication.

Responsibilities
