Ripon College invites applications for two full-time, 9-month faculty positions starting August 2027: one primarily in accounting and one primarily in economics and business management. The appointments will strengthen the College’s business management, finance, and economics programs and support development of an accounting major. Depending on qualifications and experience, either position may be filled at the assistant or associate rank, on the tenure track, or as a Professor of Practice. Tenure-track appointments require an appropriate terminal degree, such as a PhD, DBA, or JD. A Professor of Practice may have a graduate degree and appropriate field credentialing or experience. The typical teaching load is three four-credit courses per semester. The accounting faculty member will serve as Accounting Program Coordinator, support the launch of the accounting major, and teach courses including Intermediate Accounting I and II, Advanced Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, and Federal Income Taxation. Additional teaching may contribute to business management. The business management and economics faculty member will teach across those programs, with Principles of Macroeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomics as priorities. Additional teaching may contribute to applied economics and business management. Candidates for either position should be willing to contribute to Ripon College’s Catalyst core general education curriculum. The College values experience supporting students with varied backgrounds, interests, and career goals. Tenure-track candidates should have an articulated agenda for research or other scholarly activity appropriate to a liberal arts college. Applicants should identify the position and courses they seek to teach, and whether they wish to be considered for a tenure-track appointment, a Professor of Practice appointment, or both. Application materials include a letter of interest in teaching at a liberal arts college, curriculum vitae or résumé, teaching philosophy, unofficial transcripts, evidence of teaching effectiveness if available, and three letters of recommendation. Tenure-track applicants should also submit a research sample or job market paper and a statement of research interests or plans for scholarly development. Materials must be submitted as PDF files and sent to Dr. Fan Zhang, Search Committee Chair, at [email protected]. Application review begins December 1 and continues until both positions are filled. Employment-based visa sponsorship, including H1B sponsorship, may be available. Ripon College is an equal-opportunity employer and adheres to nondiscriminatory policies in employment and student enrollment.
