About The Position
The Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for two tenure-track positions in the Department of Finance, Insurance and Business Law at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (with tenure). These positions present an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing department. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. The positions are based in Blacksburg, VA with an expected start date of August 2027.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by August 10, 2027
- Successful candidates for Assistant Professor must exhibit the potential to publish in top-tier finance and finance-related journals
- Successful candidates for Associate Professor must possess an outstanding academic record, including publications in top-tier finance and finance-related journals and evidence of national/international recognition
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
