About The Position
The Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for two tenure-track positions in the Department of Finance, Insurance and Business Law at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (with tenure). These positions present an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing department. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. The positions are based in Blacksburg, VA with an expected start date of August 2027. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning immediately. For full consideration, applications should be submitted by November 20, 2026; review will continue until the positions are filled.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by August 10, 2027
- Outstanding academic record, including publications in top-tier finance and finance-related journals and evidence of national/international recognition (for Associate Professor)
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful candidates will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
