About The Position

Michigan State University is seeking a faculty member with expertise in industrial and organizational psychology or a related field for a tenure system appointment at an advanced assistant or associate professor level, starting Fall 2027. The ideal candidate will have an established research program, a history of or potential for external funding, and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring. Research interests in workforce health and well-being, leadership, motivation, selection, teams, work redesign, workforce development, and data science applications to the workplace are particularly encouraged. Contributions to the cross-disciplinary initiative related to the Future of Work are also welcomed. The successful candidate will join an active and diverse group of scholars in the Department of Psychology and the College of Social Science.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in psychology or related field.
• Experience in a faculty position.
• Established a strong program of visible research.
• History of (or clear potential for) external funding.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in mentoring graduate students.
