About The Position
Lehigh University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Economics specializing in macroeconomics, international trade, or international finance. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong record of high-quality scholarship and contribute to the teaching and service missions of the department, college, and broader university. The Department of Economics offers PhD, MS in Applied Economics, and BS/BA degrees. Its faculty are actively engaged in research and teaching and have received numerous university teaching awards and published in leading general and field journals. Faculty are also involved in the use and administration of the Lehigh Business Behavioral Research Lab. Lehigh University is an R1 residential research university founded in 1865, serving more than 7,900 students and employing nearly 600 full-time faculty members. It is located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley, which is near New York City and Philadelphia.
Requirements
- PhD in economics or a related field earned by the date of employment.
- Specialization in macroeconomics, international trade, or international finance.
