About The Position
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry provides outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care, supervises residents, and educates medical students and residents in psychiatry. The position is with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The previously determined salary range for this position was $220,000–$230,000. The position is intended to be eligible for health, dental, vision, and life insurance; a retirement plan; paid time off; and tuition waivers for employees and dependents.
Requirements
- MD degree.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Psychiatry.
- Possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Controlled Substance license in the State of Illinois.
- Possess or be eligible for an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
- Be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Psychiatry.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an attending physician on the adult inpatient psychiatric unit and in the outpatient clinic.
- Supervise residents in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry.
- Serve as an on-call attending in rotation with other adult attending physicians.
- Teach and supervise medical students and residents on clinical rotations and in didactics.
