Assistant/Associate Professor -Chief of Psychology Service
About The Position
The Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time psychologist to join our nationally recognized Psychological Medicine Section at Yale New Haven Hospital. This position includes an administrative leadership role as Chief of Psychology. Clinical responsibilities involve managing the multidisciplinary evaluation of patients on medical and surgical units, collaborating with a team of advanced practice providers, social workers, trainees, and clinical nurse specialists. Additional opportunities include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. This position carries a faculty appointment within the Department of Psychiatry at the assistant or associate professor level, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- PhD in Psychology.
Responsibilities
- Manage the multidisciplinary evaluation of patients on medical and surgical units.
- Work collaboratively with a team of advanced practice providers, social workers, trainees, and clinical nurse specialists.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Serve as Chief of Psychology, an administrative leadership role.
