About The Position

The UF Department of Medicine is seeking to fill faculty positions for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Rheumatology. Responsibilities include patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as the supervision and teaching of Rheumatology Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students. Successful applicants will also participate in multidisciplinary clinics specializing in muscle disease or vasculitis, and collaborate with a basic scientist as a clinical mentor for research trainees in an NIH-funded T32 training program. An interest in translational research is highly desirable. The department has a collaborative relationship with Shands Hospital and emphasizes professional and cooperative interdisciplinary care. The University of Florida Health Sciences Center offers resources for professional development, including leadership, education, and research tracks within the Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research. These positions are based at the University teaching hospital, with a potential option for part-time patient care duties at the adjacent VA Hospital. Both hospitals serve designated shortage and/or medically underserved areas/populations. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, a strong sense of teamwork, and a desire to train future physicians. Requirements

• Board-certified or board eligible in Rheumatology
• MD degree or equivalent
• Eligible for a Florida Medical License
