About The Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida is inviting applications for a clinical or tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor of small animal internal medicine. The successful candidate would be part of an internal medicine service with a total of six faculty (currently 2 tenure track, 4 clinical track), which serves a central role in student education, clinical service and scientific discovery. Caseload at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is among the highest of any university hospital in the country and provides excellent support for the teaching and clinical research mission of the college. The service works within a large and beautiful hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology for diagnostic and interventional techniques. The service is also staffed with nine internal medicine residents, four service technicians, two service coordinators and a client liaison. Attached to the hospital are laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment staffed by biological scientists assigned to assist clinical and basic science research. The College is located on the south side of the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville in north central Florida. The University of Florida is a public, comprehensive land-grant research university that is consistently ranked among the nation's top 10 public universities. It is part of one of the largest medical complexes in the south-east and there are opportunities to collaborate with colleagues at other departments throughout the campus. Requirements
