The Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy at High Point University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month promotion path (non-tenure track) faculty position. The individual in this position will be primarily responsible for teaching PharmD students but will also be expected to contribute to new knowledge through scholarship and provide service to the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy, the University, and the greater High Point community. The estimated distribution of effort for this individual at program maturity (i.e., when a full faculty cohort is hired) will be 60-80% teaching, 10-30% service, and 10-15% scholarship. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants with areas of expertise/interest within the broad discipline of pharmaceutical sciences are welcome to apply. Candidates with experience in drug development areas, such as Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology, pharmaceutics, manufacturing, compounding, or pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, are particularly encouraged to apply. Instructional duties may include both lecture and laboratory settings.
