About The Position
The University of Florida’s Department of Medicine and Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a tenure- or non-tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to become an active member of the Division of Cardiology’s Section of Heart Failure. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications. The position is for a dynamic physician to join the university’s advanced heart failure program, which has a history of heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support and offers opportunities for research and teaching. The successful applicant will have distinguished accomplishments and proficiency in clinical duties, administration, and clinical investigation. The role includes mentoring new physicians, fostering a progressive and dynamic work environment, and promoting teaching and research. Clinical responsibilities include heart failure services at UF Health Shands Hospital, performance and teaching in heart failure services, inpatient heart failure and general cardiology coverage, outpatient clinical duties, and other duties as assigned. Applicants with expertise in infiltrative cardiomyopathies, cardio-oncology, or inheritable cardiomyopathies are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Medical degree.
- Florida Medical License.
- Record of distinguished accomplishments.
- Proficiency in clinical duties, administration, and clinical investigation.
- Submit a curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation.
- Final candidate must provide an official transcript upon hire. Degrees earned outside the United States must be evaluated by a professional credentialing service provider approved by NACES.
