About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Assistant Administrator of Operations to provide 24/7 operational leadership and administrative oversight at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville, Florida. This key leadership role is embedded within the Hospital Administration team and plays a critical role in supporting and driving all facets of hospital operations. We are looking for a collaborative and results-driven healthcare leader who thrives in a matrix environment and can effectively partner with executive leadership, clinical teams, and support services. The Assistant Administrator will play a critical role in implementing operational strategies, improving throughput, optimizing staffing effectiveness, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive healthcare operations or hospital leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a complex, matrixed healthcare environment required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in acute care hospital operations, throughput management, or administrative leadership preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred.
  • FACHE preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 operational leadership and administrative oversight for assigned hospital services.
  • Partner with executive leadership, physicians, and clinical leaders to execute strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory readiness, compliance, and adherence to accreditation standards.
  • Lead daily hospital operations, including patient flow, throughput, and capacity management.
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Support workforce planning, staffing optimization, and resource utilization.
  • Serve as a liaison across departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Lead within a matrix model, influencing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Promote and embody the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values while inspiring followership.
