About The Position

As an Asset Protection Partner at Sephora, you will safeguard the company’s assets and help create a safe, inclusive environment for clients and employees. You will work with store leaders and the District Asset Protection Manager to implement safety and shrink strategies, monitor store activity, and respond to incidents professionally and carefully. The role spends 75–80% of its time on the selling floor and may support multiple locations as needed. This is a regular, full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position requiring 30–40 hours per week, with availability during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is based at the American Dream store in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
Understanding of retail operations, shrink, and safety.
Ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.
Conflict de-escalation skills.
Comfort using CCTV and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Availability for 30–40 hours per week, including peak retail operations, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to meet applicable licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead or participate in meetings and training to increase asset-protection awareness and reinforce safety protocols.
Maintain a strong store presence, spending 75–80% of work time on the selling floor to deter theft, support service, and maintain a safe environment.
Collaborate with managers to align shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
Use CCTV and reporting tools to identify and investigate losses.
De-escalate incidents professionally, prioritizing safety and the client experience.
Complete audits and prepare reports related to asset-protection efforts.
Follow asset-protection policies and licensing requirements.
Support multiple locations as needed.
Testify in court on behalf of the company if required.
Meet the required minimum weekly shifts and hours; maintain punctuality and consistent attendance, and be available during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
