Asset Protection Partner
About The Position
As an Asset Protection Partner at Sephora, you will safeguard the company’s assets and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment for clients and employees. Working with store leaders and the District Asset Protection Manager, you will support safety and shrink strategies, monitor store activity, and respond to incidents professionally and with care. The role spends 75–80% of its time on the selling floor to deter theft, support service, and maintain a safe environment. It is a regular, full-time hourly position requiring 30–40 hours per week, availability during peak retail operations—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and reliable attendance. The position is based at Sephora’s Old Orchard store in Skokie, Illinois, and may support multiple locations as needed.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
- Understanding of retail operations, shrink, and safety.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.
- Conflict de-escalation skills.
- Comfort using CCTV and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to meet the required minimum weekly shifts or hours; full-time schedule is 30–40 hours per week.
- Availability during peak retail operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and consistent attendance.
Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in meetings and training to increase asset protection awareness and reinforce safety protocols.
- Maintain a strong store presence, spending 75–80% of work time on the selling floor to deter theft, support service, and promote a safe environment.
- Collaborate with store managers and leadership to align shrink-reduction and safety initiatives.
- Use CCTV and reporting tools to monitor store activity, identify losses, and conduct investigations.
- De-escalate incidents professionally while prioritizing safety and the client experience.
- Conduct audits and prepare reports related to asset protection efforts.
- Follow asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
- Support multiple locations as needed.
- Testify in court on behalf of Sephora if required.
