About The Position

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college.
  • 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
  • 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
  • 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, licensing).
  • If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Responsibilities

  • Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, cleanliness, stocking, and display setup.
  • Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening, providing feedback, and communicating business objectives.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service, manages customer issues, and implements action plans for improvement.
  • Controls unexplained merchandise loss and improves profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals and objectives.
  • Measures adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures, reviews inventory variances, and conducts operational reviews.
  • Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes.
  • Investigates violations of company policies and criminal activities, gathers evidence, and writes case reports.
  • Monitors safety and risk controls, develops accident prevention strategies, and implements plans to improve workplace safety.
  • Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures.
  • Ensures proper policies and procedures are followed for claims (e.g., damaged, defective, returned items) and merchandise deliveries.
  • Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, maintaining stakeholder relationships and supporting initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
