About The Position
This position drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, and cleanliness. It involves leading and developing teams through teaching, training, and feedback, while also overseeing stocking, merchandise displays, and securing high-shrink merchandise. The role requires modeling exceptional customer service, managing customer issues, and developing action plans for improvement. Additionally, it focuses on controlling merchandise loss, improving profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals, and ensuring adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures. The position involves investigating policy violations and criminal activities, gathering evidence, and potentially testifying in court. It also monitors safety and risk controls, develops accident prevention strategies, and manages facility-level training for asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures. The role requires coordinating and completing job-related activities, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and values. Requirements
- Completion of 2 years of college.
- 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
- 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
- 2 years’ experience in asset protection or related area.
- Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification, licensing).
- If applicable, acquisition of a current, state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- If applicable, successful completion of criminal background check and/or firearms authorized training.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Responsibilities
- Drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, cleanliness, stocking, and display setup.
- Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening, providing feedback, and communicating business objectives.
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service, manages customer issues, and implements action plans for improvement.
- Controls unexplained merchandise loss and improves profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals and objectives.
- Measures adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures, reviews inventory variances, and conducts operational reviews.
- Trains managers and associates on operational controls and processes.
- Investigates violations of company policies and criminal activities, gathers evidence, and writes case reports.
- Monitors safety and risk controls, develops accident prevention strategies, and implements plans to improve workplace safety.
- Manages facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures.
- Ensures proper policies and procedures are followed for claims (e.g., damaged, defective, returned items) and merchandise deliveries.
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities and assignments, maintaining stakeholder relationships and supporting initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
