About The Position
The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility and surrounding areas. This includes following all safety standards and procedures, observing and communicating suspicious activity, assisting with investigations, and executing emergency response procedures. The role also emphasizes respecting individuals by embracing differences, creating an inclusive workplace, and building strong, trusting relationships. Associates are expected to act with integrity, uphold ethical standards, and contribute to Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company. The position also focuses on serving customers and members by delivering results and making informed decisions, and striving for excellence through continuous improvement and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities
- Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards procedures and guidelines
- Conducts safety sweeps
- Follows proper forklift spotting procedures
- Follows proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
- Follows Company steel standard guidelines
- Corrects/reporting unsafe situations to Management
- Secures and safeguards the Facility and surrounding areas by observing and communicating suspicious activity
- Assists with investigations
- Maintains paperwork logs and other required documentation
- Appropriately executes emergency response procedures
- Works as a team
- Builds strong and trusting relationships
- Communicates with impact energy and positivity to motivate and influence
- Helps developing and mentoring others
- Recognizes others contributions and accomplishments
