About The Position

Empower AI is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to work within the Acquisition and Asset Management Team at the Department of State. This role is crucial for managing all hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and supporting the customer's mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise-wide. The specialist will be responsible for comprehensive asset management, including tracking software end-of-life, reconciliation, report generation, trend analysis, inventory reviews, and operational compliance. The position involves maintaining a detailed license data repository, conducting audits of installed equipment, managing COTS software licenses, assigning barcodes, and coordinating equipment provisioning with the Service Desk. Asset management duties also encompass receiving, storing, replenishing, issuing, tracking, inventorying, and disposing of Government-owned personal property, utilizing the ILMS Asset Management module for accountability. Maintaining comprehensive files of relevant documents is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
  • Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive hardware and software asset management throughout the asset life cycle, including software end-of-life.
  • Perform reconciliation activities, report generation, and trend analysis.
  • Conduct periodic inventory reviews and provide operational compliance support.
  • Maintain a comprehensive license data repository tracking vendor name, software name and version, number of authorized users or devices, licensing fees, hardware age, and start and end dates for licenses and maintenance.
  • Conduct periodic audits of installed equipment to ensure proper license assignment.
  • Maintain data for COTS software licenses.
  • Assign barcodes to NCR equipment in coordination with the General Service Division (GSD).
  • Work closely with Service Desk staff to ensure proper equipment provisioning.
  • Manage the receiving, storing, replenishing, issuing, tracking, inventorying, and disposing of Government-owned personal property.
  • Utilize the ILMS Asset Management module for tracking and accountability.
  • Complete and maintain files of receiving documents, outstanding purchase orders, disposal documents, and all issue/return forms for specific periods.
