Performs advanced consultative, technical, analytical, training, project management, and coordination work in support of state office asset management operations for the Strategic Operations Asset Management Office (AMO) reporting the AMO Director. The position serves as a senior subject matter expert responsible for planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating asset management activities involving acquisitions, inventory management, physical inventories, asset accountability, reconciliation, property reporting, disposal activities, compliance monitoring, training, and program improvement initiatives. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Serves as a liaison between agency program areas, regional offices, financial management functions, warehouse and disposal operations, and executive leadership to ensure compliance with state property accounting requirements, HHSC policies, annual inventory certification requirements, reporting obligations, and agency asset management standards. Provides advanced technical assistance and consultation regarding asset lifecycle management, inventory requirements, financial reconciliation activities, regulatory compliance, and state office operational improvement. Leads and supports complex projects, coordinates state office initiatives, develops management reports and executive summaries, and recommends actions that improve operational effectiveness, customer service, accountability, and compliance.
