About The Position

The Asset Management Practice Lead is responsible for the overall ownership and success of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Practice, including its Profit and Loss (P&L). This role requires a blend of technical expertise in Asset Management, business planning, strategic vision, and team mentorship. A significant part of the role involves pipeline management, collaborating with the marketing team to identify and pursue new opportunities, establish teaming partnerships, and lead proposal efforts. The Practice Lead will also be responsible for responding to technical RFPs, developing fee proposals, providing technical writing, and managing client relationships post-sale. Effective coordination with stakeholders, teaming partners, and resource allocation are crucial. The role ensures the technical quality of work meets high standards and fosters a positive work environment. This position is part of Arora’s “Enterprise Solutions Group” business unit and reports to the SVP and BU Leader, working closely with other practice leads and the marketing team. This is a "Seller-Doer" role, with an estimated 50% of time dedicated to technical aspects (billable project tasks, team oversight, time management) and the remaining 50% to sales and marketing to drive practice growth and staff utilization.

  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and methods used in asset management and maintenance standards.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences both orally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain a pipeline of new business, including identification and positioning of new work.
  • Experience in public sector clients is highly preferred, with specific focus on the Aviation/Transportation Market.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15 years of experience in utilizing Asset Management software, with at least 5 of those involving direct oversight leading teams.
  • In possession of appropriate paperwork to gain and maintain employment in the US.
  • Ability to meet worksite security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Practice P&L.
  • Develop short-term and long-term strategic vision and planning for the practice.
  • Pipeline management, including identifying and positioning for new pursuits.
  • Identify and manage teaming partners (sub and prime).
  • Lead scope and fee proposals and technical approach for larger pursuits.
  • Respond to technical RFPs, develop fee proposals, and provide technical writing.
  • Manage client relationships after the sale.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, teaming partners, and ensure proper scheduling and resourcing.
  • Ensure technical quality of work produced meets high standards.
  • Build a positive and supportive work environment for employees.
  • Collaborate with other practices and business units.
  • Provide Asset Management technical leadership and guidance as the Practice Subject Matter Expert.
  • Manage and mentor the team to ensure motivation, productivity, and alignment with company goals.
  • Create high morale among employees and focus on employee retention.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and other Practice Leads to ensure proper project staffing.
  • Establish standards for Quality Assurance and oversee Quality Control reviews.
  • Lead Salesforce Pipeline Management and positioning of new opportunities.
  • Assist or lead with development of fee/scope of service proposals, technical writeups, presentations, and interviews.
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to build the brand and develop new work.
  • Contribute to the technical content of EAM marketing materials and website.
  • Lead the EAM Business Plan in collaboration with the team.
  • Participate in technical speaking opportunities or publish articles.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Assist with identification of needs, recruiting, and hiring new staff.
  • Ensure accountability of staff within the Practice.
  • Review and evaluate performance of direct and indirect reports.
  • Oversee staff utilization, skills matrix, and ensure appropriate staff allocation.
  • Monitor performance metrics and best practices.
  • Travel to project and client sites for presentations, interviews, design, and coordination meetings.
  • Fulfill other essential duties to support company goals and pursuits.
