About The Position

Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS), a leader in project, asset management, commercial, and operational services for the power generation, exploration & E&P, and midstream energy sectors, seeks an Asset Management Intern to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced energy industry environment, supporting financial and commercial asset management tasks.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in business, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field (graduation: Dec 2026 or May 2027).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (3.5+ preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
  • Collaborative team player with adaptability to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
  • Will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and tracking of annual operating budgets and business plans to align with owner objectives, monitoring financial and operational variances.
  • Assist in reviewing and ensuring compliance with financial, technical, and commercial contracts.
  • Monitor wholesale market fundamentals and assigned RTO/ISO protocols to support operational strategies.
  • Analyze key project performance indicators and prepare detailed reports for owners and stakeholders.
  • Create and manage Excel models for budgeting, settlements, invoicing, and financial analysis of project opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive end-of-summer presentation to the CEO and leadership team, summarizing key projects, insights, and actionable recommendations based on internship work.
