About The Position

The Asset Management Assistant (SURGE) position is a full-time role located in Arlington, Virginia. This role requires a Public Trust clearance. The primary responsibilities involve conducting physical inventories, validating asset data, maintaining records, ensuring system data integrity, supporting internal controls and SOPs, and assisting with audit responses.

Requirements

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Public Trust clearance required.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with DoD property accountability regulations and FIAR standards.
Prior experience with asset management systems (DPAS, ERP).
Prior experience supporting government audits or compliance programs.

Responsibilities

Conduct physical inventories of government-owned equipment and facilities.
Perform data reconciliation to identify discrepancies for government review.
Ensure all assets are properly tagged and labeled in accordance with Navy standards.
Assist in maintaining and filing asset records.
Review asset records to identify documentation gaps for government action.
Prepare and consolidate audit documentation packages upon request.
Review asset data to identify errors.
Draft correction requests for government approval.
Report on the status of submitted corrections.
Assist in reviewing and recommending SOP refinements.
Support the documentation of internal controls and the identification of compliance gaps.
Serve as a support liaison between government and audit teams.
Assist in drafting responses to audit inquiries.
Track audit findings.
Develop draft Corrective Action Plans for government approval.
