About The Position

The Asset Coordinator plays a central role in auction operations by accurately documenting auction items to prepare them for sale and working on-site after sales to support a positive experience for sellers and buyers. The position may involve travel to off-site auction locations, including occasional overnight stays, and assisting with auction item pick-up and drop-off.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license; must meet company driving and insurance eligibility requirements to operate company vehicles.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency with modern technology and AI-assisted tools, including image recognition, asset identification, and automated cataloging.
Written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Customer service skills.
Time-management skills.
Ability to lift 30 or more pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts, loud noise, explosives, and hazardous materials.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, climb, and crouch for long periods.

Responsibilities

Organize and tag items for auction.
Move heavy equipment or vehicles as needed during cataloging.
Take photos and upload them to the auction management website.
Create accurate and detailed descriptions of auction items.
Use AI-assisted tools to identify items, generate descriptions, and validate make, model, year, VIN, and condition where applicable.
Occasionally travel with a team to off-site auction locations for cataloging and pick-ups, including overnight stays.
Help customers locate their purchases.
Safely operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, and front-end loaders to help load and unload auction items during pick-up and drop-off.
Act as cashier at off-site pick-up.
Be visible during open houses and provide customer service as needed.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
