Bank of American Business Capital (BABC), a market leader in asset-based lending (ABL) solutions, is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer (BDO). This role involves delivering creative senior secured credit facilities to large corporate, middle market, and lower middle market borrowers. The BDO will support clients' organic and/or M&A growth, recapitalizations, and refinancing of existing debt. The position is based in either Atlanta, Charlotte, or Metro DC, and the BDO will cover prospective ABL clients and COIs in the Mid-Atlantic Region and the Carolinas. The primary function is to source new financing opportunities and lead deal teams through the analysis, approval, and execution phases of a transaction. The BDO should be proficient in sole lender, club, and widely syndicated ABL transactions. In addition to direct client outreach, the BDO will cultivate an external referral network including private equity firms, investment banks, consultants, and direct credit lenders. An internal referral network with relationship managers and credit product partners across various business lines within Bank of America is also crucial. The role requires strong teamwork and relationship management skills with both internal colleagues and external clients/COIs.
