Bank of American Business Capital (BABC), a market-leading provider of asset-based lending (ABL) solutions, is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer (BDO) to deliver creative senior secured credit facilities to large corporate, middle market, and lower middle market borrowers. This role supports clients' organic and/or M&A growth, recapitalizations, and refinancing of existing debt. The BDO will cover prospective ABL clients and COIs in the Mid-Atlantic Region and the Carolinas. The primary function is to source new financing opportunities and lead deal teams through the analysis, approval, and execution phases of a transaction. The BDO should be capable of working on sole lender, club, and widely syndicated ABL transactions. In addition to directly calling on prospective ABL clients, the BDO will cultivate an external referral network of private equity firms, investment banks, consultants, and direct credit lenders. Furthermore, the BDO will develop an internal referral network with relationship managers and credit product partners across various business lines within Bank of America. This role requires strong teamwork and relationship management skills with internal colleagues, Bank of America, prospective ABL clients, and COIs.
