About The Position

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program.
A minimum of satisfactory completed coursework in child psychology, child development, clinical counseling, or related field (e.g., social work, psychology, etc.) is required.
Applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Applicant must have the ability to work independently and display a professional manner.
Must be able to pass CLASS observation tool training and certification (provided).
Live Scan and background check upon conditional job offer.

Nice To Haves

Experience in child and family intervention or a related field is preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in child psychology, child development, clinical counseling, or related field (e.g., social work, etc.).

Responsibilities

Using the CLASS Observation to conduct assessments at various childcare centers.
Observation of a teacher/teachers in a classroom, recording and documenting these observations, and finally, utilizing the observations to provide feedback (scored and anecdotal) on the quality of the teacher(s) interactions with children.
Feedback is shared with a team of coaches, who use it to highlight the strengths of the classroom and provide opportunities to increase the quality of care.
