About The Position

The Assessor Coordinator - Degree is responsible for referral management and case management within the Children’s Therapy Services department. The Assessor Coordinator - Degree is accountable for establishing and maintaining positive liaison between the clients, referral sources and Children’s Therapy Services. The Assessor Coordinator - Degree is accountable for screening, referring, reviewing, planning and facilitating safe care for children and their families.

Requirements

  • Degree in a health or social science related field
  • Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues
  • Ability to work with people with professionalism and respect
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain client/patient/resident confidentiality
  • Ability to keep effective work relationships with clients of diverse backgrounds
  • Positive approach to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to make appropriate referrals
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the area of adult assessment and intervention
  • Ability to assess patients & families applying theories of human growth & dvlmpt
  • Knowledge in evidence-based approaches for children, youth and families
  • Demonstrates ability to manage time and competing deadlines
  • Knowledge of community resources in the province of Saskatchewan
  • Ability to act professionally, ethically and provide sound judgement
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to follow safe work practices
  • Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal/consultative relationships
  • Eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body

Nice To Haves

  • Previous related experience with children and families is preferred
