About The Position

Carrollton Springs is seeking an Assessment Specialist RN to support the department’s needs, focusing on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence. The role is scheduled for full-time weekend nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Carrollton Springs is a 78-bed behavioral health hospital serving the Carrollton, Texas community and is part of Lifepoint Health.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current, unencumbered RN license to practice as required by the State Board of Nursing.
• Relevant state licensure is required.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and before any patient contact.
• Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an emergency department or psychiatric healthcare facility.
• Direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
