About The Position

The Mental Health Professional (MHP) supports the clinical treatment team by providing services to Futures Unlimited clients who have mental health disorders. Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and/or the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), the MHP provides direct supports identified in each client’s individualized treatment plan.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following education and experience pathways: a bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, or pastoral counseling; a bachelor's degree in another field plus two years of documented clinical experience in a mental health setting under QMHP supervision; or a high school diploma or GED plus at least five years of documented clinical experience in mental health or human services.
• Ability to work in an environment with productivity targets.
• Effective communication skills.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Basic mathematical knowledge, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and computing averages.
• Exemplary problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical assessments and development of client-centered treatment plans, as requested.
• Document and submit billable services in accordance with applicable rules.
• Train agency staff to support implementation of treatment plans.
• Implement treatment plans as written and recommend modifications when needed.
• Participate in agency-wide functions, including inter-agency and intra-agency committees, as requested.
• Complete case notes and other required documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policy.
• Maintain files in accordance with applicable regulations and agency standards.
• Follow agency policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties to support the agency as requested.
