About The Position

Midwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking an Assessment Coordinator to join their team. This PRN (as needed), day shift position is with a 74-bed private, residential treatment facility that has been serving youth with psychiatric treatment needs since 1997. The facility is accredited and offers a full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for adolescents ages 10-18. They also have a specialized Patriot Support Program for children of active-duty military members. The Assessment Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the intake and clinical assessment process for individuals entering the facility. This role is a key point of contact between prospective clients, referral sources, families, and the clinical team, ensuring thorough, accurate, and timely evaluations to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment planning.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field (MSW/MA), OR RN with active, unrestricted state license is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical, behavioral health, or psychiatric setting.
  • Prior experience conducting assessments, intakes, or admissions required.
  • Familiarity with level-of-care criteria required.
  • Strong understanding of biopsychosocial assessment methods and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
  • Must be 21 years old
