About The Position

We are seeking a full-time ACT Psych Rehab Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This role involves providing community-based, in-home individual and family interventions for clients with mental health and substance use challenges. The focus is on promoting symptom stability, enhancing coping skills, fostering interpersonal relationships, and supporting individuals in achieving their highest level of functioning within the community. This description outlines the general scope and level of work for this role. It is not intended to include every duty or responsibility that may be required of employees in this position.

Requirements

  • QP status according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104, including a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field with more than two years full-time, post-Bachelor MH/DD/SA experience with the population served; or be a Substance Use Disorder Professional who has two years or more full-time post-bachelor experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling or a Bachelor’s Degree in a non-human services field with more than four years full-time, post-bachelor MH/DD/SA experience with population served; or be a Substance Use Disorder Professional who has four or more years full-time, post-bachelor experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be free from all illicit substance use.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with mental health and/or substance abuse clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-centered therapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions based on individualized treatment plans.
  • Support clients’ daily living skills, work readiness, and participation in meaningful activities.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and community resources to coordinate care and achieve treatment goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ACT model standards.
