Requirements

  • At least 2 years of proven assembly and mechanical testing experience, ideally working with systems like small engines, pumps, and generators.
  • A strong ability to read, decipher, and accurately apply information from wiring diagrams, technical parts drawings, and instruction manuals.
  • Master-level familiarity with mechanical hand/air tools and comfort working safely around heavy machinery, forklifts, fuel variants, and high-voltage gear.
  • Basic comfort utilizing MS Outlook and Excel for team communication and data collection, alongside the agility to learn specialized testing software.
  • A high school diploma or GED preferred (technical/trades school a plus!), backed by solid performance math and good verbal/written English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Hook up and evaluate 100% of machine variants received from manufacturing using an automatic test bench, strictly following digital prompts and work instructions.
  • Optimize machine capabilities by making critical physical adjustments—such as air band modifications—based on real-time feedback from the test bench.
  • Conduct meticulous manual testing (like smoke testing) and comprehensive visual sweeps to catch leaks, thread issues, paint flaws, or labeling errors.
  • Swiftly identify and resolve non-conformances by executing minor repairs like clamp tightening, belt adjustments, and paint touch-ups.
  • Log non-conformances digitally, document issues thoroughly, and partner with assembly leads or Engineering on specialized change validation projects.
