About The Position

The purpose of this role is to assemble parts and components for new products according to specifications as per the work order in a timely manner while also producing quality work and maintaining a safe workplace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proven work experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role preferred
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that vary in size
  • The ability to use various hand tools to produce a final product
  • Ability to follow instructions and diagrams as delivered for each product
  • Familiar with metric system (beneficial)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Perform high precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments.
  • Monitor the functioning of all equipment and report any problems or substandard condition to the supervisor.
  • Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
  • Order and stock materials and supplies to avoid materials shortages.
  • Receive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different workstations.
  • Reading and understanding blueprints and assembling products from those blueprints.
  • Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
  • Assembling various types of industrial fans per work order and within stated scrap rates
  • Balancing and testing fans and motors
  • Using precision measurement equipment
  • Ability to operate a forklift & pallet jack
  • Adhering to all PPE and ESD protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
  • Other duties as assigned
