This role is responsible for building, assembling, and testing components or products according to technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. You will use hand tools, machinery, and measurement devices to ensure parts fit and function correctly while meeting quality and safety standards. The role involves inspecting finished assemblies, identifying defects, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve issues. Assembly Technicians help maintain efficient manufacturing workflows and support continuous improvement efforts. Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
  • Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge
  • Skilled with hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and/or soldering equipment
  • Strong accuracy in following assembly steps, inspecting parts, and completing documentation
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive motions
  • Capacity to identify assembly issues and perform mechanical, electrical and software-based troubleshooting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams
  • Attention to detail for the parts and measurements as small changes have a large impact
  • Computer literacy and comfort using MS Office products
  • Able to use in-house software once training is completed
  • Be able to correctly enter data taken during measurements and test into a database on a computer

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, technical school or relevant certification in a relevant discipline preferred
  • 1–3 years in assembly, manufacturing, or production environments depending on complexity of product

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electronic components according to schematics, blueprints, or work instructions
  • Inspect parts and materials for defects prior to assembly to ensure quality standards are met
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment to complete assembly tasks safely and accurately
  • Perform wiring, soldering, fastening, or mechanical fitting depending on product requirements
  • Conduct functional tests and quality checks on assembled units to verify proper performance
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues ranging from minor to complex and make adjustments or repairs as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, completed work, and test results
  • Follow safety procedures, clean work areas, and contribute to maintaining an organized production environment
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to resolve technical or material issues
  • Meet daily or weekly production targets while adhering to manufacturing and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet production goals
